Eid Al-Adha

This Friday ( 07/31/2020), All Muslims around the world will celebrate our 2 nd annual festival. I am sharing with you a brief summary telling you more about this Festival: The Meaning: Eid Al-Adha translates as “Festival of Sacrifice” and is actually bigger or better celebrated than the Eid after Ramadan, so it is also called Eid Kabir – “Big Eid.” The Belief: Eid al-Adha, or 'the feast of the sacrifice', is the second Eid festival of the calendar year, which honors Ibrahim's commitment to God when ordered to offer up his only son - not named in the Qu'ran as Ismail but widely accepted in Islamic literature as so - as a sacrifice. As he prepared to carry out the act, Satan appeared to Ibrahim attempting to deter him from his task, but the devout man threw stones to repel the devil.
